How to Group Students

When playing XMGames you will need either three individuals or three two-member teams. There will be two teams playing and a referee team.

  • Individuals playing (3 students to a Gameboard) works well when you are practicing basic facts as well as insuring active participation.
  • Teams of Two (6 students to a Gameboard) works well for more difficult concepts. Teams working together to solve the problem promotes a lower level of threat for that student who may not be as strong as the rest of the group.
  • If there are 4 or 5 students on a Gameboard, you can have two referees or you can have two students playing against one student.

Before playing each variation of the game, the teacher should give theXMGames Scouting Report” in order to ability group the students.
